OK, I’m still very green here (ie: newbie). I did a search on “child site menu” and “editing menu” and found nothing. Is there a way to edit a nav menu on a child site from within the MainWP dashboard site? The basic stuff, adding menu items, creating submenu items, rearranging menu items…

Welcome to the MainWP Community.
Unfortunately, it is not possible to edit the nav menu on a child site through MainWP.
Since menu content is highly specific for each site, the menu editing feature isn’t a great fit for multi-site management.
