Google OAuth requires the WordPress REST API

I get this notification in my Google analytics and Google search console tab. Now i have checked all sites on the search console tab and the Rest API json shows t https://your-site.com/wp-json/ for all sites. is this a bug or how can i determine the issue. what exactly is the problem when rest api not active will the date not show in the reports or in the MainWP dash? I do have a lot of sites using the analytics reports does this show if one of the site s has an issue and if so how can i determine the exact site with the issue? I am looking into this as the pro reports have dropped the search console report, this has happened twice and is a real pain as I have discovered that each site’s setting tab has dropped connection to the specific search console connection and has required me to check every site and reconnect. I hope this bug has also been rectified with the new search console update.

Hey @Ebundant-Online

The REST API warning refers to the site where your MainWP Dashboard is installed, not to any of your connected child sites.

The Dashboard REST API is required when using Sign In with Google, including when initially connecting or later reconnecting the account.

The warning does not automatically mean that your existing report data has stopped updating, but it could become an issue if the Google connection needs to be renewed.

If you connected using the Import JSON File method, this REST API requirement does not apply.

Regarding the Search Console connections being dropped, we identified and fixed one issue that could sometimes cause this. Please make sure you are using the latest version of the extension.

Thank you Bojan for clearing this up for me, that does explain alot. I had issues with adding accounts with this sign in with Google method so ended up using the JSON method and will continue moving forward. Great to know now I can ignore the OAuth warning with this workflow. Hopefully moving forward you have squashed to bug where the search console connections get dropped.
