I update to 6.2.2 then went to Search console manage properties (Connection is via JSON) clicked “refresh data” to inport a new console I just added. what i get is
After look at all the properties that had search console data flowing into them all have now lost the connection. This is very annoying as I am due to send out monthly reports and dthe data has gone again.
Ok so I got some more info to help diagnose the issue. I Rolled the site back to a back up earlier this week and the connection are now back up. refreshed data and the new connected search console appeared ad brought data through. Now I have updated to 6.2.2Dash and all is well. What i have not updated is
MainWP Google Search Console ExtensionYou have version 6.2.1 installed. Update to 6.3.
All is working well on 6.2.1 the issue seems to be in 6.3 of MainWP Google Search Console Extension
Version 6.3 added a stricter permissions check for the JSON credential file. A file with 644 permissions will now be rejected, while 600 passes that check. That could explain the failed refresh and missing properties after the update.
Please check the permissions on the JSON file in your MainWP Dashboard installation, normally under wp-content/uploads/mainwp/google-search-console/ , and let me know what they’re set to.
I also saw your private ticket, so we can continue there if you prefer.
