I am not sure how it happened but sometime between 1am and 2am last night all MainWP child plugins (on the latest version of 5.x) updated to 6.0. This happened on all 18 sites I have connected including the website that has the MainWP dashboard. The MainWP Dashboard did a scheduled automatic synch during that time so I am wondering if it happened then though the Sites Changes Log on the dashboard doesn’t report anything.
The MainWP Dashboard website and the dashboard plugin is still on version 5.4.1.1
Non of my plugins are set to auto update.
I am just wondering if this happened to anyone else?
BTW on major updates like this I usually wait a few weeks before updating
Can you please check MainWP > Settings and see if automatic plugin updates are enabled there?
If they are, also check whether the MainWP Child plugin is set as a Trusted plugin. If it is not trusted, MainWP wouldn’t auto-update it through the Dashboard.
If automatic plugin updates are disabled in MainWP, or the Child plugin is not trusted, then the Dashboard did not trigger those updates.
In that case, the most likely causes are WordPress auto-updates enabled directly on the child site, or hosting-level automatic plugin updates.
