I use MainWP for several years now. It is connected with 60 wordpress sites, up to date and syncs twice a day. BUT the whole sections abandoned Plugins and Themes simply does not show anything (just “No abandoned plugins detected, None of your plugins are currently marked as abandoned.”). Even when I set the number of days from 365 to 10, and sync and wait some days.
I red the documentation and checked all options but I can’t find any reason why it does not word.
May there was an old option a few years ago where you could turn this feature off?
Or does this feature need a lot of ressources (memory/ Execution time) to work?
(everything else works perfect. thank you for the wonderful mainwp-plugins!)
Regards,
I can’t see any either. I mostly use that function from Wordfence Security, but just checked the list in MainWP Dashboard (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=PluginsAbandoned), so it looks like this is broken.
However, there was an issue on those pages, where if a table was empty, this section that contains a button to manually check for abandoned plugins/themes was missing.
We will have a fix for this in an upcoming release.
I’m using 6.0.11-er1 in case it matters. The checkboxes are marked. But I only see a bar on top to switch between Production and Staging sites and not the one to sort by site/item/tag.
The page title has a bug as well, because it says “Available Updates” instead of “Abandoned Plugins” or something like that.
Correct, this is the current behavior.
In the next version, that section will be shown even when the table below is empty.
As for the actual detection of the abandoned plugins/themes - we did find a bug related to this on the MainWP Child side and we will have a fix for this as well in the next release.
The advanced settings are on default and are checked like inyour screen shot, the manual check for abandoned plugins/themes from the Manage Sites does not show any results. The tolerance for abendoned plugins/themes is on 10 days; so there should be results…
The error-log shows: “PHP Warning: Undefined array key “name” in /home/…/wp-content/plugins/mainwp/class/class-mainwp-system-cron-jobs.php on line 1040”
A fix for this issue was included in version 6.0.11 of MainWP Dashboard.
Thanks again for reporting this to us.
