Even on my big desktop screen the buttons move to the next line and out of the box, when the menus are open.

I’ve managed to reproduce this for Recent Posts/Pages widgets when sized to certain width, and I’ve passed it along to the development team.
We’ve just released MainWP Dashboard v5.0.1, which includes a fix for this issue.
