Child site not synchronized automatically after a plugin/theme install through Manage Plugins/Themes

If I install/update a plugin on a child site through the Manage Plugins (same for themes) (upload the archive or chose the plugin from wp org list) the plugin is installed but the child site is not synched so for example if it’s a plugin update, the updates will still show up on the dashboard so I need to do a sync manually.

Hope the explanation is clear, if not please let me know and I’ll some screenshots.

thanks for reaching out.

This is actually not a bug, this is normal behavior. Installation process is not tied to the sync process so it’s required to re-sync sites after installing new plugins/themes to them.
