My daily digest emails stopped being sent a few months ago.
I’ve ignored this while moving to a new server but have the the same issue so I’m trying to chase it down now.
The overall email delivery system is working. I’ve received uptime monitoring emails (sent through SendLayer via API using “WP Mail SMTP” to send and “WP Mail Catcher” to log the transaction on the site.
I’m using the default templates. I think I’ve run out of things to check… can someone suggest next steps?
I have verified that the emails are set to send globally, and disabled in the site-specific settings.
I updated last week and saw no change. But this morning magically there’s a digest email in my inbox!
My best guess is that by checking and saving both the global and site-specific settings again, the gremlin was killed. Either that or it’s the “user opened a ticket intimidation factor”. This is closely related to the “bug not present only when the developer is observing” phenomenon.
