You may occasionally see the red Update Dashboard Site label in the bottom-left area of your MainWP Dashboard navigation. This indicates that there is an available update (Plugin, Theme, WP Core, or Translation) on the WordPress installation where your MainWP Dashboard is installed. That includes updates to the MainWP Dashboard itself. Click that label when it appears and perform all available updates on your Dashboard site.
which clearly explains that the update warning is there if any item on the dashboard site needs update… If the warning is still there even after all WP Core, themes and updates are updat, that is most likely Object cache, so clearing out cache should help
