Since a while I notice that database updates for Elementor don’t show up in MainWP Dashboard anymore.
I’ve been using MainWP 5.5 beta (dashboard and child) since it became available, but I’m not 100% sure if that was the moment this issue started.
Hey @josklever
I just ran a test with the MainWP Dashboard v5.5-er3 (which is the latest version available on MainWP Early Release - MainWP WordPress Management ) and the latest version of Database Updater v.5.0.7.
I’m seeing Elementor DB updates as expected on the Sites > Updates > Database page:
Are you also running these versions?
Do you perhaps have Elementor plugin updates ignored on the “Ignored Updates” page (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=PluginsIgnore)?
I’ve just found one site that showed up with an Elementor DB update. It’s a recently added site with the current MainWP Child plugin version 5.4.0.15. So I think the issue might be within the child plugin 5.5+
My dashboard and other child sites are running the latest 5.5-er3 version.
No updates are ignored.
I couldn’t reproduce the issue with Child 5.5-er3 on multiple Dashboards.
Could you temporarily deactivate caching on some of the affected child sites and try syncing the Dashboard afterward, just so we can eliminate that possibility?
And do you remember if you’ve ignored Elementor updates in the recent past but then removed it from the Ignored list?
This has definitely nothing to do with caching (most of the sites don’t need it).
The child version was the only thing I can think of now. Syncing has been done many times (few times a day) since Elementor updates.
And I already said that nothing is ignored. I only ignore some updates (rarely) for sites where there’s no active license anymore. That’s not the case here and I’m talking about 50+ sites with Elementor on various hosts, so no other similarities.
Can we somehow debug this for sites that still have a DB update available and what is known in my dashboard?
