Error with Secure Connection to WordPress.org

I added a website that was running on Apache to aaPanel, which is now using Nginx. Now I am getting the following error in the backend of the WordPress site:

If the problem persists, please use the Support Forums. (WordPress was unable to establish a secure connection to WordPress.org. Please contact your server administrator.) in /www/wwwroot/maintenance.wp-helping-hand.com/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6114

Is this error known, and how can I resolve it?

This doesn’t appear to be a MainWP-related error.

Are you seeing this error on the child site or the Dashboard, and is any MainWP functionality affected?

I can no longer connect to some pages with the MainWP child plugin.

This error means that your WordPress site can’t establish a secure connection to WordPress.org, which can prevent plugin updates.

This usually indicates a server configuration issue.

If your site can’t connect to WordPress.org, it likely can’t connect to other external sites either, which would prevent MainWP connection.

You should reach out to your hosting support to investigate this issue further.
