Host MainWP local and security plugins?

I now host MainWP locally using DesktopServer. Is it necessary/sense to install a security plugin in case of local host?

I would imagine that a real-time security plugin doesn’t make much sense, after all, the host is usually turned off. But maybe it makes sense to have something like the free Sucuri plugin scanning it from time to time?

Hi Alwin,

I personally think that you don’t need any security plugin since you localhost can’t be accessed from external connections.
