(Page) Caching doesn’t help for a dashboard, because it doesn’t cache the backend. The most important question is what is very slow exactly? Loading dashboard pages, synchronizing all sites, installing updates or something else? These things can have different causes and different solutions. I’m working with a dashboard with 325 sites, so that should not be an issue by itself.
Of course you can try to deactivate all plugins other than your dashboard plugin to see if that’s still an issue or if the slowness is caused by one of the other plugins.
I dont have many other plugins loaded, I’m aware that synchronizing sites can take a lot of time so does many operations, I’m only talking about the responsiveness of the dashboard itself.
I don’t say it’s too many, but it’s good to test if it has a noticeable effect. So just test it with only MainWP Dashboard plugin activated. Just to rule things out.
Also can you post a systems report from your dashboard? (via /wp-admin/admin.php?page=ServerInformation)? Maybe it shows some other possible causes.

I also feel like the backend got slow on me, but I never thought much of it because I had moved to a different VPS at the time.
It did surprise me a little though, because I actually thought moving VPSes would speed it up, I thought it would have more resources on the new VPS (there is more cpu and ram on this one).
I’m only commenting because my new VPS is also running Litespeed (in Runcloud) so now I wonder if there is anything about that setup which is making things slower.
