How do I disable the translation update for the MainWP dashboard?

I created the French translation and placed it in wp-content → languages -> plugins. However, it is regularly overwritten by the original. I can’t keep the admin translated to French.
The French translation validation is still not validated on translate WordPress.
How do I disable the MainWP dashboard translation update (via a snippet)?

I see you already contributed to the translations via Projects translated to French (France) < GlotPress | WordPress.org and that’s of course the best way.

Your suggestions need to be approved by an editor, so if you happen to know any of the editors that are also in that list, you can contact them and ask to approve your suggestions.

If you are a member of the official WordPress Slack instance, you could ask in the #polyglots channel or in the #traductions channel on the French Slack. You can find a link to that on WordPress en Français

Finally the MainWP team can remove the French translations from the dashboard plugin.

Since the French language is bundled in the MainWP Dashboard ZIP file, you cannot use a snippet to prevent your modifications from being overwritten.

You can try placing the .mo file in the /languages/ path and see if that helps /wp-content/languages/plugins/mainwp-fr_FR.mo with overwriting.

You can also try using a third party plugin for translation (e.g. Loco Translate) which should also help prevent overwriting.

Hi Bojan, nice that work fine with Loco Translate, my translations are OK with the automatic translation update.
Thank you! :-))
