How to diagnose a connection problem?

A bunch of our WPs have a custom-made sso plugin.
We are pretty sure it’s the source of connection problem for main wp tp main wp child.

I kindly ask you how to diagnose the connection problem.

What is the the api/page call to target child site?

What connection issue are you facing? Are you trying to add the site, or is the site already added but disconnected?

What error message do you see on the Dashboard when you try to establish the connection with the child site?

Have you tried temporarily deactivating your custom-made plugin to see if that resolves the connection issue?
