Is "trusted" system the same as WP auto update?

I was wondering how the “trusted” system of MainWP for pluginst, themes and core works under the hood. Is it based on the default auto update system bundled in WordPress?

Hi @TheDarkMist

Our system of automatic updates and the Trusted label is not tied to the default WP auto update system.

After you manually label a plugin or a theme as Trusted, MainWP will perform automatic updates for them.
