MainWP Child plugin not detected or could not be reached by MainWP

MainWP Child plugin not detected or could not be reached by MainWP! I have ensured the MainWP Child plugin is installed and activated on the child site, and there are no security rules blocking requests. This site was perfect until July 6, 2026, when it stopped connecting. I have tried all the suggestions and am now reaching out to you.

The site is www.captainmorsehouse.com it is the only one that has this issue out of 12 sites

Hey @sloanish

Welcome to the MainWP community.

I tested the site from a my MainWP Dashboard and received the same 403 response. The response body is SiteGround’s 403 Forbidden page, so SiteGround is rejecting the request before it can reach the MainWP Child plugin.

Please contact SiteGround support and ask them to check their server security/WAF logs and remove the rule causing the 403.

They should allow server-to-server POST requests from your MainWP Dashboard server’s outbound IP to the site, particularly /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php.

Once SiteGround confirms the block has been removed, please try reconnecting the site again.

I have fixed it by removing and adding again the site inside MainWP. There might also have been and issue with the Siteground Cache.
Do I need to do anything else?

There’s nothing else you need to do now if the connection is working.

If the site gets disconnected again with the same symptoms, please do reach out to SiteGround’s support.
