Hi, one of my child sites occasionally shows as disconnected in MainWP, while the website itself is working normally. Is there a quick way to check whether the problem is with MainWP Child, the server, or teh conenction?
Hey @islabrownn
Welcome to the MainWP community!
Could you send us the exact error message or a screenshot the next time the site shows as disconnected?
While it’s happening, please also go to MainWP > Sites > Manage Sites > select the affected site > Settings, click Test Connection beside Site URL, and send us the full result.
This is new with 6.2. I am seeing sites drop during a sync and when I reconnect they connect fine. Nothing has changed on the sites except the update to 6.2.
Sites are a combo of 7.05 and 7.1.1, PHP is 8.2 8.3 and 8.4, multiple hosts.
We’ve identified an issue in 6.2 that could explain sites appearing disconnected during sync and reconnecting successfully afterward, and we are working on a fix.
If it happens again during a sync, please hover over the red error icon beside the affected site in the sync results window, before closing it, and send us the message shown. If it says “This request has already been used,” that would help us link your experience to the issue we identified.
We’re also happy to take a closer look at your Dashboard through a private support ticket if you’d prefer.
I saw the error on a sync and it is “This request has already been used”.
Thanks @7thcircle.
That matches the issue we’ve identified in 6.2. We’re working on a fix and will update this topic when it’s available.
A fix for this was included in today’s v6.2.1 release of the MainWP Dashboard and Child plugins.
Thanks again for reporting this to us.
I have not had any disconnects since the update.
