"Optimize for shared hosting" setting

Hello

Given the size of our network, I’m thinking about enabling the “Optimize for shared hosting or big networks” setting in the MainWP Dashboard.

The description of this feature is: “If enabled, MainWP Dashboard will cache updates for faster loading.”

However, it’s unclear which ‘updates’ this refers to, how this feature works, and how it improves performance.

Perhaps someone can provide a deeper technical explanation of this feature?

Hi Ricky,

thanks for reaching out.

The mentioned option enables some caching in MainWP Dashboard and enables some other features (like server-side loading for Manage Sites table) in order to load pages faster.

this refers to the Available updates for plugins/themes on detected on your child sites.
