It seems that when the pdf is exported, it compress images, is there a way to turn this off? As I have a 6738x4764 image as I exported it bigger to see if it would stop it but it still compresses it.

I couldn’t replicate this problem. I’ve added two images under Personal Branding for Logo and Header image, and both of them appear to be original quality in exported PDF.
Do you have any plugins running on your WordPress installation where MainWP is located that might attempt to resize or optimize the images?

I have taken a look and there is no plugins enabled, only Advanced Custom Fields. This is a full page sized image, but its a 6K image so it shouldn’t be a problem.

The active plugins are wrong btw, the only plugins turned on are WP File Manager and ACF Pro and Class Editor

I’ve just added a background to a custom report in that same manner, and the image is in original quality.
What’s the image format that you’re trying to insert, and can you please check what the DPI of the image is?
DOMPDF library that is used for generating PDFs is set by default to 96 DPI. So perhaps an unusual combination of resolution and DPI could be the culprit.
Found a solution, it seems if you use background-image then it can become blurred but if you use instead, then it doesn’t blur.
