I have a report set for many sites but for one site it never completes.
It just shows the spinning animation.
As part of testing this same site works if I select last month. However, if I select dates from this month it never completes.

However, to make this more complicated, sometimes it completes and sometime is doesn’t even if I let it run for hours.

You don’t need to wait for hours when generating a report. If it doesn’t complete within a minute or two, something has gotten stuck. For smaller reports, it should only take seconds.
Can you please post the community system report from your MainWP Dashboard for review? The report is located in your Dashboard under Info → Server (your-mainwp-dashboard.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ServerInformation), on the top right of the page.
