Restore ACF original plugin (replaced by SCF without your consent) in a few minutes with MainWP

This is one of the other reasons I love MainWP! With all #wpdrama over the few weeks, this weekend, Matt Mullenweg went crazy and decided to replace ACF free with a “fork” version of it called SCF!

This is crazy as all the sites using ACF free as now SCF:

You need to download to official version of ACF free directly from their site: https://www.advancedcustomfields.com/blog/installing-and-upgrading-to-the-latest-version-of-acf/ then, select all your sites (as show above with the screenshot) and click on the little button “Installed to selected sites”:

Select Upload zip file and grab the zip you just download from ACF site:

and complete the installation:

Sync your MainWP to double check that SCF is gone and ACF is back.

That is it. It took me longer to write this little tutorial then doing it.

Writing the instruction took me more time than updating it as well, although I wrote mine on Discord when SCF didn’t exist yet and it was just to fix ACF getting updates.
