I have a personal cybersecurity blog. It was working fine till yesterday. This morning, when I opened it to log in, Chrome showed ERR_SSL_PROTOCOL_ERROR.
I got freaked out.
Did some research. There are many resources available on Google, but none are working.
It sounds like there’s something wrong with the SSL certificate for the site. Can you share the link to the site so we can check it? Otherwise you can run some tests yourself using sites like SSL Checker or https://www.sslcheck.nl/
If you see an issue, you can contact your host if you can’t fix it yourself using your (hosting) control panel.
Thank you Jos for your reply. It’s fixed now. It turns out that the QUIC Protocol was blocking SSL after I updated my Chrome. This guide came in handy. - https://certera.com/blog/how-to-fix-err-ssl-protocol-error-in-chrome/
Did you check if the SSL certificate was installed correctly and not giving errors via the links I gave you? Because now it sounds like you lowered the security checks on your computer so you don’t see the error. But other site visitors still might have the same issue.
It’s completely gone. Thanks again.
