Sites Changes - user filter is not working correctly

When using the User filter on the Sites Changes page, it’s only showing my name in the filter, but when I select it I also see results from other users on the child sites.

  1. It’s not possible to select other users for the filter.
  2. The results are not correctly filtered.

Hey @josklever

I cannot reproduce this issue.

In my test,

  1. I see multiple users in the filter, and I can select them.
  2. The results are appropriately filtered based on the selected user.

I will check with the dev team and get back to you.

Hey @josklever

The fix for this issue was included in the v5.4.0.5 of MainWP Child released on 04-15-2025.

You will now also find that in the dropdown, the URL of the associated child site will be visible next to the usernames.

Please let us know if everything looks good on your end.

Hi Bojan,

I do see more users now, but it seems to split them by website as well. I’m not sure if that’s a good thing…

Example: I’m using the same name on many sites and it could be handy to select my name and ignore all my changes at once. Now I have to select my name as many times as there are sites.

Point taken. However, even though the usernames are the same, they’re technically different users with different IDs on each site.

It can also help in cases where using/creating the same username was not possible on all managed child sites.

You can still select all the ones you want (basically group them), and then save that as a segment so next time you just load it in one click.

In understand and don’t know yet how it would work better. But I just noticed that the Search field also works for the user name, so that will work fine!

That would only work if I had local changes for all my 300+ sites and it would miss recently added sites, so that wouldn’t work.

But it looks like this issue is solved now. So thanks again!
