Sites No Longer Sync (again)

Running version 6.0.9 and SYNC doesn’t seem to work again. I have tried doing a single sync and that doesn’t work. To rule out connectivity issue I ran mainwpcontrol to update a single site and that also did not work. I have disabled security and set a WAF rule in cloudflare but still nothing
Also, when running mainwpcontrol the command times out saying “increase timeout with –timeout flag” but that parameter does not seem to work (or perhaps you can provide an example of how to specify a timeout period longer than the default)

Hey @MadeITinCA

Sorry to hear the issue is back.

What happens when you click the Sync button?
Does the process even start, do you see the pop-up window with a sync progress?
Do you see any errors, in the UI or in the Browser Dev Tools Console?

Can you please post the community system report from your MainWP Dashboard for review? The report is located in your Dashboard under Info → Server (your-mainwp-dashboard.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ServerInformation), on the top right of the page.

Be sure to use the button like the one below; this button hides all your private information:

Pressing the button auto-copies the report to your clipboard then just paste it in a reply here.

It is 100% magic. have battled doing the sync for 3 days now and as soon as I logged a report, within a few hours the sync is working
The sync button popped up the sync modal window and just sat there with wheels spinning. I tried API calls to get it to sync but everything failed on time out even for 1 site. I did the API call to check for updates (even wrote an app for it). Found sites that needed updates but this morning when I ran the sync (and it worked) it showed 300+ plugin updates required so either there were a lot of updates that happened Sunday night or that update check wasn’t working either.

Paste didn’t work (max size exceeded) so here’s the link: MainWP System Report - Pastebin.com

I’m glad to hear it’s started to work again.

Next time it happens, please open a support ticket so we can take a look at the issue while it’s active.

I would suggest deactivating LiteSpeed Cache.

Caching plugins are not recommended for MainWP Dashboard. Most of the content is dynamic so the caching plugins cannot offer great performance improvements, but they are known to sometimes cause issues.

Thanks @bojan I will turn off the cache and submit a ticket when/if it happens again.
