On this page /wp-admin/admin.php?page=managesites I am seeing odd behavior on sorting.
Examples:
Sort by sync date appears to sort but actually doesn’t:
Sort by number of updates sorta works:
Sort by Jetpack Protect appears to sort but definitely doesn’t:
It is possible that my other issue is related

I’ve managed to reproduce this and passed it along to our dev team. It will be fixed in an upcoming release.
Currently, some of the columns that are hooked into the Manage Sites table do not support sorting. I will see with the team if we can remove the sorting indicators at the column header to remove confusion.
