Hey @joba
You’re receiving 301 notifications because the URL being monitored has likely been redirected to a different location. This means the site is still online, but its address has changed.
Are you monitoring any subpages/slugs of your Child Sites or just their frontpages?
You can also add 301 to the list of Up HTTP Codes in the MainWP Settings, so you will not get notified for that status code:
Hey @bojan
thank you for your fast reply.
I have a reseller server with an own IP for all client pages. Every client has a own account.
Now I just receive 20 Uptime Monitoring emaila with the statuscode
Statuscode: 200 - OK
in the emails
I use this since 3 years without that litle problem.
hmm…
Hi @joba
Since these sites were temporarily returning code 301, and were considered as down, the 200 emails you are now receiving are expected.
This is because the Uptime Monitoring sends status code 200 emails when the site comes back online.
Can you check in the server logs why these sites were temporarily returning 301?
And again, you can also whitelist certain codes in the MainWP Settings if you don’t want to be alerted for them.
@joba You are monitoring websites without the www prefix, while the site is setup with www. So that’s causing the 301 status. You can go to the Settings of that site within your dashboard and enable the www prefix. That should solve it for most of the sites with this issue. I had to do the same for a dozen of sites.
sorry, id did not found that options in the dashboard.
thank you, will try.
can I whitleist all domans at once? I haven’t changed the settings of the domains and than since a week I receive this messages.
I have now changed the www prefix, will answer if that was the reason.
Kind regards
Yes. When you add 301 to the list of Up HTTP Codes in the MainWP Settings (/wp-admin/admin.php?page=Settings), that affects all child sites.
