Site Test Connection Passes but will not add to the dashboard.
I attempted to submit a support ticket 3 times, but the support ticket would never create so I will attempt to obtain support here in the community, if someone can please provide assistance.
Hi,
Can you check this help document:
and see if that helps?
Can you try to disable the Verify SSL Cert option and see if that helps?
MainWP Child Plugin not detected! Please make sure that the MainWP Child plugin is installed and activated on the child site. For additional help, contact the MainWP Support.
But MainWP Child is activated. See attached Screenshot.
It appears your trying to make your MainWP Dashboard also a Child of the Dashboard. While this generally works fine, there can be some issues. Can you please post the community system report from your MainWP Dashboard for review? The report is located in your Dashboard under Status → Server, on the top right of the page.
Be sure to use the button like the one below; this button hides all your private information:
Pressing the button auto-copies the report to your clipboard, then just paste it in a reply here.

This is the part that seems to be causing the issue, If you google the main part of the error message, “cURL error 60: SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name” you’ll see this can be caused by a few different things from caching to hosting errors.
Can you try selecting disable the SSL Certificate verification in the SSL Version field when adding a site and see if that helps?
Thanks Dennis. I have tried this, but it has not helped. I still get the same error:
MainWP Child Plugin not detected! Please make sure that the MainWP Child plugin is installed and activated on the child site.
But the Child is activated.
You are getting that message because your site is not being allowed to “talk” to itself due to that error.
In other words, your Dashboard can’t “see” itself and therefore determines the child plugin is not activated.
There is not really anything we can do from this end. As stated above, I recommend searching the main part of the error message, “cURL error 60: SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name” you’ll see a few different things that can cause this, from caching to hosting errors and see if you can track it down to the cause from there.
I fixed it. Because our primary domain server host.aboveall.media was on one IP and the MainWP WordPress site admin.aboveall.media was setup on another IP, I think there was just too much confusion in DNS to make the connection. I may have been able to use a Wildcard SSL certificate, but instead I just changed the IP of the MainWP site to a shared IP with the primary domain host server and then reset the Auto SSL certificate in cPanel.
The Child then loaded right up into the Dashboard just fine.
Thanks for you help, it prompted me to think of trying this before running down the Google road of hunting a needle in a haystack.
