on every single mainwp child I found a backup archive in this location:
public_html>wp-content>uploads>mainwp>backup> backup-xxxxxxxxxx.tar.gz
I am using a third party backup service and I don’t want this to be created because is a waste of disk space.
How to prevent this?
Did you perhaps use MainWP’s Legacy Backups feature at some point?
If so, that would have created backups on child sites in that location.
Feel free to delete that archive if you aren’t using the Legacy Backups feature, and let us know if any new backups appear, and we will investigate further.
