Update a plugin from file

Hello,

I need to update a plugin that is not in the repository, and the update must be done by uploading the file.

I know it is possible to do this from “plugin installation,” but in that section it is not possible to filter to find out which websites are using that plugin and need that update (which is possible in the “plugin updates” section).

Is it possible to update a plugin from a file only on the websites that need it? (as is the case with installations from a URL).

You can use the normal Plugins page to do a search for sites having that plugin installed. Then you select the sites with the plugin. A button will appear at the top with something like Install on selected sites. That will lead you to the Install plugins page with those sites selected. Upload your new version and install it. Done! :slight_smile:
