Update feedback is wrong for PHP 8.0 child sites

After an update of a plugin on child sites running the beta version of MainWP Child and PHP 8.0.17 I get a :x: instead of a :heavy_check_mark:. If I try the update again and again I get the same result. But if I sync the site after the first update, it’s fine.

There’s nothing in the browser console of my dashboard and nothing in the PHP error log on the server or anything odd in the access log.
