Updating WP Core when in different directory

Hi,

I use trellis for a lot of my sites, most I update via composer, but some I want to manage with mainwp.

MainWP seems unable to update WP core and themes (although weirdly it did update plugins…). I wonder if this is because the trellis folder structure is different, so WP core isn’t where it expects it to be? Is there a way to get Main WP to work with a non-default folder structure?

Thanks for reaching out.

To be honest, I have never tested this kind of a setup, but as much as I know, if you are able to update WP Core and themes normally from within the child site, you should be able to update via MainWP too.

Basically, MainWP just triggers WP built-in functions to handle updates.
