Has this been addressed, or is it in progress?

This plugin was retired some time ago. I had tried to maintain it for a period of time, but I have stopped as well. You should remove this from your site.

Hi @strannik

As @7thcircle pointed out, the Broken Links Checker extension was retired in January 2020, and support for it stopped in July of that year.

We’d recommend stopping using those extensions for security and compatibility reasons.
